Pagbuo ng AFP contingent para sa pag-takeover sa BOC, ipinag-utos ni Galvez
Inutos ni Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief of staff General Carlito Galvez ang pagbuo ng AFP contingent para sa take-over ng operasyon sa Bureau of Customs.
Ayon kay AFP spokesman Brig. Gen. Edgard Arevalo, ang bilang ng mga sundalo at kung saan Customs unit sila itatalaga ay batay sa requirements ni bagong Customs Commissioner Rey Guerrero.
Ang mga sundalo aniya na itatalaga sa BOC ay dapat na hindi kwestyunable ang integridad, competent at propesyunal.
Ipinaubaya naman ng AFP ang legalidad ng military deployment sa BOC sa tagapagsalita ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na nag-utos ng pagsibak sa lahat ng commissioners at department heads ng ahensya.
Iginiit ng militar na ang pagbibigay ng suporta ng mga sundalo sa operasyon ng Customs ay para sa pakinabang ng mga Pilipino.
