Gastos ng mga Pinoy sa kalusugan tumaas ayon sa PSA
Patuloy ang pagtaas ng halaga ng mga ginagastos ng mga Filipino para sa kalusugan.
Batay sa datos na inilabas ng Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), lumago ng 8.8 porsiyento ang tinatawag na out-of-pocket (OOP) health expenses noong 2017 sa halagang P372.8 bilyon.
Lumilitaw na ito ay 54.5 porsiyento ng Current Health Expenditures (CHE) noong nakaraang taon.
Kabilang sa mga out of pocket expenses ay sa mga gamut, food supplements, medical products, therapeutic appliances, outpatient medical care, dental care, diagnostic services at hospital care.
Idinagdag pa ng PSA na P186.6 bilyon sa nabanggit na halaga ay ginasta sa mga botika, P97.5 bilyon sa mga pribadong ospital at P50.3 bilyon sa ambulatory health care.
Samantala, ang kabuuang ginasta para sa kalusugan noong nakaraang taon ay P712.3 bilyon, mataas ng walong porsiyento sa naitalang P659.3 bilyon noong 2016.
