Grab iaapela ang P12M na multa na ipinataw ng PCC

Iaapela ng Grab Philippines ang P12 million na multang ipinataw sa kanila dahil sa merger sa Uber.

Plano ng Grab na maghain ng motion for reconsideration sa Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) kaugnay ng desisyon na magbayad sila ng multa dahil sa merger violation.

Bago dito ay pinagmulta ng PCC ng P8 million ang Grab dahil sa kabiguan na mapanatili ang pre-merger conditions gaya ng polisiya sa presyo o halaga ng pamasahe, rider promotions, driver incentives at kalidad ng serbisyo.

Samantalang ang Uber, na acquired party ng Grab, ay pinagmulta naman ng P4 million para sa parehong mga paglabag.

Pero tinutulan ng naturang ride-hailing company ang desisyon ng PCC dahil nakumpleto umano nila ang transaksyon at sumunod sila sa interim measures order.

Ikinatwiran din ng Grab na pareho pa rin ang kanialng “price algorithm” matapos itong suspendihin ng Land Transportation and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
