Cyber hacking, service disruptions incidents dapat agad iulat ng mga bangko sa loob 2-oras ayon sa BSP

Kailangang agad na maireport ng mga bangko sa mga otoridad kung makararanas sila ng cyberhacking incidents o anumang service disruptions na makaaapekto sa kanilang customers.

Ito ang utos ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) sa ilalim ng bago nilang regulasyon.

Mula sa dating 10-day reporting window, sinabi ng BSP na dapat sa loob lang ng dalawang oras matapos maganap ang insidente ay maireport ito ng mga bangko sa kinauukulan.

Ginawa ito ng BSP bilang dagdag seguridad sa nadadalas na pag-atake nga hackers laban sa mga financial institutions.

“Prompt reporting of these incidents by supervised financial institutions will allow the Bangko Sentral to have an enhanced visibility on the changing information technology risk landscape and to proactively ensure that their impact and resulting risks are minimized and contained to avert potential systemic risks to the financial system,” ayon sa BSP.

Nitong nagdaang mga taon, dumadalas ang cyberhacking attempts sa local financial institutions.

Ilang malalaking kumpanya ng bangko din ang nakararanas ng problema sa kanilang ATM network services na nagdudulot ng aberya sa kanilang mga kliyente.
