DILG, pinaiikutan na rin ang lahat ng island resort at beach tourism destination sa bansa
Pinababantayan ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ang iba pang mga island resort at beach tourism destination.
Ayon kay DILG Secretary Eduardo Año, inatasan na niya ang lahat ng Regional Offices ng DILG na simulan na ang monitoring sa lahat ng island resorts at beach tourism destinations sa bansa.
Ito ay para maiwasan ang anumang scenario na kahalintulad ng pagpapasara sa Boracay island kung saan nasalaula dahil sa kapabayaan.
Isasailalim Rin sa pagsusuri ng DILG ang Kalagayan ng sewage treatment facilities, power at water supply service capacity, at ang Zoning Ordinance and Comprehensive Land Use Plan ng local government units na mayroong beach tourism destinations.
Nagbabala si Año Sa mga lgus na may tourism sitw huwag nang hintayin ang sanctions o interbensyon ng national government At mapasara rin gaya ng boracay na nagdulot ng kawalan ng hanapbuhay sa kanilang nasasakupan.
Samantala ang regional reports ay isusumite sa DILG Beach Tourism Monitoring Team na itinatag mula sa dating DILG Boracay Secretariat .
