Sugatan ang mahigit 20 katao karamihan ay pawang Russian football fans matapos bumigay ang escalator sa Roma.

Naganap ang insidente sa istasyon ng tren sa PIazza della Repubblica.

Karamihan sa mga nasugatan ay nagtamo ng sugat at bali sa binti, isa sa kanila ay malubha ang kondisyon.

Nagkapatung-patong ang mga lulan ng escalator nang ito ay bumagsak.

May mga testigo namang nagsabi na karamihan sa mga football fans na sakay ng escalator ay mistulang nakainom.
