AFP at PNP walang kinalaman sa pagpatay sa 9 na magsasaka sa Negros Occidental – DAR
Nilinaw ng Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) na walang kinalaman ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at Philippine National Police (PNP) sa pagkamatay ng siyam na magsasaka sa Sagay, Negros Occidental.
Nasawi ang mga magsasaka matapos pagbabarilin sa loob ng Hacienda Nene.
Sa isang press briefing, sinabi ni DAR Secretary John Castriciones na labas ang AFP at PNP sa naturang insidente.
Kinondena rin nito ang pagpatay sa mga magsasaka na mga miyembro ng Negros Federation of Sugarcane Workers (NFSW).
Aniya pa, hangad lagi ng kagawaran ang mapayapang resolusyon ukol sa mga lupa sa pagitan ng may-ari at mga magsasaka sa pamamagitan ng pagsasagawa ng pagpupulong.
