Docu ukol sa buhay ni Jennifer Laude, nagwagi sa film fests sa North America at Europe
Nakapag-uwi ng ilang awards ang dokumentaryo ni PJ Raval na pinamagatang “Call Her Ganda” sa North America at Europe.
Tinalakay sa documentary ang kaso ng pagpatay kay Filipino trans woman na si Jennifer Laude ng US marine na si Joseph Scoot Pemberton noong 2014.
Nanalo ang docu ni Raval ng Jury Award for best documentary sa Tampa Bay International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival sa Florida noong October 13, 2018.
Isa ang Tampa film fest sa mga ikinokonsiderang malalaki at matatagal nang festival sa buong mundo.
Nasungkit din ng US-Philippine production ang best documentary runner-up sa Out on Film: Atlanta’s LGBT Film Festival sa Georgia noong October 7, 2018.
Layon ng Georgia fest na mapakita ang mga istorya ng LGBT community pagdating sa kanilang kasaysayan, paano namumuhay, naghihirap at lumalaban sa kanilang karapatan at kalayaan.
