Nagpalabas na si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ng isang memorandum circular na bubuo ng isang interagency committee na magrereview sa inventory ng mga exceptions sa Freedom of Information (FOI).
Base sa MC No. 49, tungkulin ng komite na mag-update sa listahan ng FOI exceptions para masiguro na hindi malalabag ang mga kasalukuyang batas at jurisprudence.
Ang Department of Justice (DOJ) at ang Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) ang tatayong chairpersons sa interagency committee kung saan magiging miyembro ang Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), Office of the Government Corporate Counel (OGCC), at National Privacy Commission (NPC).
Matatandaan na noong July 2016, nilagdaan ng pangulo ang Exceutive Order No. 2 o ang Freedom of Information (FOI) na nagbibigay ng full public disclosure sa lahat ng transaksyon ng gobyerno sa sangay ng ehekutibo.
