Change of Command Ceremony ng Philippine Army, naantala ng 2 oras dahil sa pagsama ni Duterte kay Go sa Comelec

Delay ng dalawang oras ang change of command ceremony ng Philippine Army dahil si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na mamumuno sa event ay sinamahan ang kanyang top aide na si Bong Go sa paghain ng Certificate of Candidacy (COC) bilang Senador.

Sa media advisory ng Philippine Army noong nakaraang linggo, nakatakda ang turnover ceremony 3:30 ng hapon sa Ricarte Hall ng Army Officer’s Clubhouse sa Fort Bonifacio sa Taguig City.

Si outgoing Army chief Lt. Gen. Rolando Joselito Bautista, na kamakailan lamang ay itinalaga ni Pangulong Duterte na susunod na kalihim ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), ay umabot na sa kanyang mandatory retirement age na 56.

Papalit kay Bautista si dating Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP) commander Maj. Gen. Macairog Alberto.

Lunes ng hapon ay inabisuhan ng Palasyo ang media na 5:00 ng hapon ang dating ng Pangulo.

Mula sa Comelec kung saan sinamahan nito si Go sa paghain nito ng COC, dumating si Duterte sa Army turnover ceremony 5:15 ng hapon.
