Ayon kay Naval Task Force (NTF) 87 head, Captain Florante Gagua, alas-9:30 ng gabi ng Biyernes, oras sa Pilipinas nang dumating sa Cruise Pier, Jeju Island ang nabanggit na strategic sealift vessel.
Una itong nagtungo sa Vladivostok, Russia noong October 2 at makalipas ang ilang araw, noong October 9 ay muling naglayag ang BRP Tarlac upang magtungo sa Jeju Island.
Pagdating sa Cruise Pier ay mainit na sinalubong ang mga Pilipino ng kanilang South Korean Navy counterparts sa pangunguna ni Captain Cho Inchoeol, Chief of Staff ng Republic of Korea Naval Education and Training Group 8.
Matapos ang welcome ceremony ay agad na nagtungo ang mga pinuno ng Philippine at Korean Navy sa BRP Tarlac upang magkaroon ng briefing.
Kabilang sa mga delegado ng Pilipinas sina defense attache Captain Armil Angeles at Philippine Navy flag-officer-in-command, Vice Admiral Robert Empedrad na naroon upang dumalo sa 2018 Western Pacific Naval Symposium (WPNS).
Ayon kay Empedrad, kumpyansa siyang ang pagbisita ng Philippine Navy sa Russia at South Korea ay maglalapit sa pagkakaroon ng world class navy ng bansa.
300 ng sakay ng BRP Tarlac, kabilang ang mga miyembro ng Naval Special Operations Group, Philippine Marine Corps, Technical and Administrative Services, Naval Reserve Command, at isang Helicopter Detachment Afloat mula sa Naval Air Group.
