Sa impormasyon na inilabas ng Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) mataas pa rin sa regulatory limit ang paralytic shellfish poison sa ilang mga karagatan.
Kinabibilangan ito ng sumusunod :
- Matarinao Bay sa Eastern Samar;
- Lianga Bay sa Surigao del Sur;
- Coastal waters ng Dauis at Tagbilaran City sa Bohol
- Coastal waters ng Milagros sa Masbate.
Kaugnay nito, mahigpit ang paalala ng BFAR sa pag-hango at pagkain ng mga shellfish at mga alamang sa naturang mga lugar.
Ligtas namang kainin ang isda, pusit, hipon at mga alimango na kailangan lamang na hugasang mabuti at alisin ang mga lamang loob bago lutuin.
