Inanunsyo na ni Bureau of Immigration (BI) OIC Deputy Commissioner Marc Red Mariñas ang nakatakdang pagbibitiw niya sa pwesto.

Ito ay para bigyang-daan ang pagtakbo niya bilang Mayor ng Muntinlupa City sa 2019 midterm elections.

Si Mariñas ay kasalukuyan ding head ng Bureau of Immigration Port Operations Division (POD)

Siya ay nakatakdang maghain ng kandidatura sa Lunes matapos na magsilbi sa BI sa loob ng halos dalawang dekada.
