Niyanig ng magnitude 7.3 na lindol ang Papua New Guinea.

Ayon sa US Geological Survey, naitala ang lindol sa New Britain Region alas 4:48 ng madaling araw ng Huwebes, oras sa Pilipinas.

May lalim na 33 kilometers ang lindol. Makalipas naman ang ilang minuto ibinaba ng USGS sa mganitude 7.0 ang lindol.

Samantala, sinabi naman ng Phivolcs na walang banta ng tsunami sa Pilipinas bunsod ng nasabing pagyanig.
