Batay sa datos ng USGS, naganap ang lindol alas-6:42 ng umaga oras sa New Zealand o ala-1:42 dito sa Pilipinas.
May lalim ang lindol na 395.4 kilometro at ang episentro ay naitala sa 181 kilometro hilagang kanluran ng Raoul Island.
Posibleng magdulot instrumental intesity II ang lindol. Ngunit wala namang inaasahang pagkasira sa mga imprastraktura at ari-arian ang pagyanig.
