JBC binuksan na ang palikasyon para sa associate justice position
Tatlong buwan bago magretiro si Associate Justice Noel Tijam at binuksan na ng Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) ang aplikasyon para sa kanyang babakantehing posisyon.
Ayon sa JBC, ang aplikasyon at pagsusumite ng rekomendasyon para sa associate justice post ay bukas lamang hanggang sa November 5.
Kabilang sa mga kailangang isumite para sa aplikasyon ang kanilang personal data sheet, transcript ng law school records, certificate of employment, income tax return, birth certificate, membership certificate mula sa Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), resulta ng medical exam, at clearance mula sa pulis, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), at Office of the Ombudsman.
Para naman sa mga nakahawak na ng posisyon sa pamahalaan, kinakailangan din nilang magsumit ng kopya ng kanilang statements of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN) sa nakalipas na 10 taon.
Si Tijam ay magreretiro na sa January 5, 2019 dahil mararating na niya ang mandatory retirement age sa edad na 70.
