Malacañang: Trabaho tuloy sa pagbibitiw ng ilang cabinet members
Tiniyak ng Malacañang na walang vacuum sa gabinete kahit aabot sa pito o walong cabinet members ang magbibitiw sa puwesto para sumabak sa 2019 elections.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, hindi mauubusan ng mga taong itatalaga sa gobyerno si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Katwiran pa ni Roque, sa bawat isang gabinete na magbibitiw sa puwesto, isandaang katao ang interesado sa isang posisyon kung kaya hindi problema ang kapalit.
Wala rin aniyang epekto sa trabaho ng gobyerno kahit na mabakante ang isang puwesto dahil otomatikong may itatalagang officer-in-charge.
Kabilang sa mga napabalitang magbibitiw sa puwesto sina Roque, Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go at Political Adviser Francis Tolentino na kakandidatong senador sa 2019 elections.
“Hindi naman po siguro because I wouldn’t know. But ang sinasabi ko lang is wala naman pong problema yan, for every vacancy there’s a hundred applicants. So walang problema ang mga kapalit”, dagdag pa ni Roque.
Napaulat din na magbibitiw sa puwesto sina Cabinet Secretary Jun Evasco, Tesda Director Guiling Mamondiong, Special Envoy Abdullah Mama-o na tatakbo naman sa local posts.
