Palparan 60 araw sa reception center ng Bilibid bago ilipat sa maximum security compound
Nailipat na sa New Bilibid Prisons (NBP) si Retired Army Major Gen. Jovito Palparan alas 7:45 gabi ng Miyerkules.
Iyan ang kinumpirma ni Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra, 16 na araw matapos siyang mahatulang guilty sa kasong kidnapping at illegal detention sa University of the Philippines students na sina Sherlyn Cadapan and Karen Empeño noong 2006.
Una nang ikinulong si Palparan sa Philippine Army Custodial Center sa Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
Ang paglilipat kay Palparan ay matapos ibasura ng Malolos Regional Trial Court Branch 15 ang hiling nitong pigilan ang paglilipat sa kanya sa Bilibid.
Una na ring sinabi ni Bureau of Corrections Director Ronald Dela Rosa na mananatili si Palparan sa NBP Reception and Diagnostic Center sa loob ng 60 araw bilang bahagi ng patakaran bago ilipat sa maximum security compound.
Si Palparan ay tinaguriang “The Butcher” ng mga aktibista at nasa likod umano ng mga pagpatay at human rights abuses noong panahon ni dating Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
