Bilang ng Ph-US joint military exercises sa 2019, nadagdagan
Nagkasundo ang Pilipinas at Estados Unidos na madagdagan ang bilang ng mga isasagawang joint military exercise sa susunod na taon.
Ayon kay Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) public affairs chief Colonel Noel Detoyato, magkakaroon ang dalawang bansa ng 281 security cooperation activities sa taong 2019.
20 itong mas mataas kumpara sa 261 military-to-military activities ngayong taon.
Inabruhan ni AFP Chief of Staff General Carlito Galvez at US Indo-Pacific Command chief Admiral Philip Davidson ang mga aktibidad sa idinaos na annual meeting ng Mutual Defense Board (MDB) at Security Engagement Board (SEB) sa Camp Aguinaldo noong Huwebes.
Ayon pa kay Detoyato, umaasa ang parehong bansa sa mas matinding kooperasyon para sa national at security interests kabilang ang counter-terrorism, maritime security, cyber security, humaanitarian assistance, disaster relief at iba pa.
