P16M na halaga ng smuggled na sibuyas nasabat ng BOC
Nasabat ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang aabot sa P16 milyong halaga ng smuggled na sibuyas sa Manila International Container Port (MICP).
Ayon kay Customs Commissioner Isidro Lapeña, sakay ng walong container vans ang mga sibuyas.
Misdeclared aniya ang mga kontrabando na naka-consign sa ASD Total Package Enterprises Corporation.
Idineklarang fresh apples ang laman ng shipment pero nang busisiin nakita ang mga sibuyas sa loob.
Kapag binuksan ang container vans, makikita ang mga kahon-kahong mansanas pero sa loob ay bag-bag na sibuyas pala ang laman.
