8 Pinoy napili ni Pope Francis para dumalo sa Synod of Bishops sa Oktubre
Walong Filipino mula sa iba’t ibang diyosesis ang napili ni Pope Francis para dumalo sa Synod of Bishops on Youth na magaganap sa Vatican sa Oktubre 3 hanggang 28.
Ang delegasyon ay pangungunahan ni Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle na nailuklok sa 15-member synod council noong 2015.
Kabilang sa mga delegado na magrerepresenta sa Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines ay sina Bangued Bishop Leopoldo Jaucian, chairman ng CBCP Episcopal Commission on Youth (ECY); Bacolod Bishop Paticio Buzon Vice Chairman ng ECY at former ECY head Legazpi Bishop Joel Baylon.
Ang ibang participants ay sina Fr. Renato De Guzman ng Office for Pastoral Care of the Don Bosco Educational Center, Fr. Emmanuel Enrico Ayo ng Diocese of Parañaque, na magsisilbing auditor, at Nicole Anne Perez, isang katekista mula sa Archdiocese of Manila.
Napili din ng Santo Papa ang isang Pinoy na si Bishop Pedro Baquero ng Kerema Diocese bilang delegado naman ng Papua New Guinea at Solomon Islands.
Pag-uusapan sa synod ang ilang mga isyu sa sekswalidad at kasarian, papel ng kababaihan at ang paghangad sa isang Simbahan na marunong makinig.
