P3.4B pondo, inilaan ng DBM sa loan program ng DA sa mga magsasaka
Naglaan ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ng P3.4 bilyon sa loan programs ng Department of Agriculture (DA) para sa mga magsasaka.
Ilalaan ang P3.4-billion allocation sa Subsidy 2 Credit (S2C) program ng DA sa fiscal year 2019.
Ayon kay Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno, maiaalok sa ilalim ng S2C program ang non-collateralized production loans, quick response post-disaster loans na walang interes at loans para sa mga kagamitan ng mga magsasaka.
Layon din ng subsidy loan program na masuportahan ang agricultural enterprises ng mga indigenous people at iba’t ibang farmer organizations sa pagbebenta at prosesa ng agri-fishery products.
Para matiyak na magiging epektibo ang programa, magbubuo ang DA ng Credit Management Teams at Loan Facilitation Teams sa kada probinsya.
Dagdag pa ni Diokno, plano ng DA na ipatupad ang full implementation ng S2C program sa fiscal year 2020.
