Nananatili ang lakas ng Typhoon Ompong at papalapit na sa Cagayan.

Ang bagyo ay huling namataan ng PAGASA sa 260 kilometers East Northeast ng Casiguran, Aurora.

Taglay nito ang lakas ng hanging aabot sa 205 kilometers bawat oras at pagbugsong aabot sa 255 kilometers bawat oras.

Kumikilos ang bagyo sa bilis na 30 kilometers bawat oras sa direksyong northwest.
