Mga Pinoy sa Hokkaido nananatiling ligtas matapos ang lindol
Tiniyak ng Malacañang na kumikilos na ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) at minomonitor na ang kalagayan ng mga Filipino sa Japan.
Ito ay matapos yanigin ang Japan ng 6.7 magnitude na lindol kaninang umaga.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, nakipag ugnayan na ang DFA sa community leaders sa Hokkaido para tiyakin na ligtas ang mga Filipino.
Sa ngayon, wala pang natatanggap na ulat ang DFA kung may nasaktan o napahamak na Pinoy sa lindol.
Patuloy din aniya ang pagdarasal ng Pilipinas para sa kaligtasan ng mga residente sa japan.
“Our prayers to the people of Japan who were affected by a powerful magnitude 6.7 earthquake that struck their northern region this morning. The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) continues to monitor the situation and stays in touch with the leaders of the Filipino community in Hokkaido,” ayon sa kalihim.
