97 undocumented Pinoy workers mula UAE, uuwi ng bansa ngayong araw
Nakatakdang umuwi ngayong araw sa bansa ang panibagong batch ng undocumented Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) mula sa United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Ayon sa pahayag ng Department of Foreign Affairs, ang bagong batch ng 97 OFWs ay nag-avail sa amnesty program ng UAE.
Sakay ng Philippine Airlines Flight PR 659 ang mga pinoy workers at darating alas-8:45 ngayong umaga.
Sinagot ng Office of Migrant Workers Affairs ng DFA ang gastos sa repatriation ng OFWs at bibigyan pa ng P5,000 ayuda pagkarating ng Maynila.
Patuloy na hinihikayat ng Consulate General ang mga Filipino na samantalahin ang amnesty program.
Tiniyak ni Consul General Paul Raymond Cortez na lahat ng undocumented Filipino workers sa UAE na gustong umuwi ng bansa ay tutulungan ng Consulate General at ng Philippine Embassy sa Abu Dhabi.
