Train 2 lusot na sa 2nd reading sa Kamara

Aprubado na sa ikalawang pagbasa ng Kamara ang Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (Train) 2 na tinawag ngayong Trabaho Bill.

Tinangka pang harangin sa plenaryo ni Albay Cong. Edcel Lagman ang pagpasa nito pero nabigo ang mambabatas.

Mula sa kasalukuyang 30 percent na corporate income tax ay nais ng Train 2 na maging 25 percent na lamang ito.

Sa ilalim nito ang corporate income tax ay magiging twenty eight percent (28%) simula January 1, 2021; twenty six percent (26%) simula January 1, 2023; twenty four percent (24%) simula January 1, 2025; twenty two percent (22%) simula January 1, 2027; at twenty percent (20%) simula January 1, 2029.

Gayundin ang rationalization sa fiscal incentives sa mga kumpanya na performance-based.

Nakapaloob rin sa panukala ang rationalization sa mga insentibo na ibinibigay sa mga negosyong karapat-dapat na mabigyan nito, maging time-bound at transparent.

Kasama sa ira-rationalize ang mga insentibo na iginawad sa ilalim ng isang daan at dalawamput tatlong special laws.
