Lider ng ISIS sa Afghanistan napatay ng US Forces
Kinumpirma ng US forces na napatay sa pamamagitan ng isang airstrike ang lider ng ISIS sa Afghanistan.
Kinilala ang nasabing lider ng mga terorista na si Abu Sayed Orakzai na napatay sa nasabing airstrike noong August 25 sa Nangarhar province.
Sa ulat ng national Directorate of Security ng Afghanista, sinasabing kasama sa mga napatay ay sampu sa mga tauhan ni Orakzai.
Sinabi ni Gen. Scott Miller, commander ng US at NATO forces sa Afghanistan na madali nilang natunton ang lugar ng lider ng ISIS dahil sa pakikipagtulungan ng mga sibilyan sa lugar.
Ang napatay na si Orakzai ay ang ikatlong lider ng ISIS sa Afghanistan na napatay ng tropa ng US mula pa noong 2016.
“There are groups in Afghanistan who want nothing more than to harm others,” Miller said. “These groups thrive in ungoverned spaces, they raise money, they recruit, they plan, they inspire attacks. We must maintain pressure on them,” ayon pa kay Miller.
