Magugunita na sa huling State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ay pinamadali nito sa Kongreso ang pagpasa ng mga panukala para magkaroon ng trust fund ang mga coconut farmers.
Ang pondo ay mula sa ari-arian at benepisyo mula sa coconut levy o ang buwis na siningil mula sa mga magniniyog noong administrasyon ni dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos.
