TRAIN 2 hindi magdudulot ng kawalan ng trabaho ayon sa DOF
Tiniyak ng Department of Finance (DOF) na hindi magdudulot ng kawalan ng trabaho ang isinusulong na package 2 ng tax reform.
Sa pulong balitaan sa Malacañan, sinabi ni Finance Undersecretry Karl Kendrick Chua na katunayan, lilikha pa ng mas maraming trabaho ang package 2 na naglalayong ibaba ang corporate income tax at tanggalin ang mga tax incentives sa mga kumpanya.
Sinabi pa ni Chua na hindi maglalayasan ang mga kumpanya sa Pilipinas dahil masyadong profitable ang Pilipinas at mayroong siguradong merkado.
“So wala po kami nakikitang job loss, iyong mga unnecessary incentives na matatanggalan ng incentives eventually, that’s why they are called unnecessary because in our opinion they will continue to invest of operate even without the incentives because they are inherently profitable or there is a sure market,” ani Chua.
Nabatid na noong 2016 lamang, aabot sa P179 bilyon ang nawala sa kaban ng bayan dahil sa ibinigay na tax incentives.
