Madonna nagpaliwanag matapos mabatikos ang speech sa MTV Awards
Ipinagtanggol ng Queen of Pop Madonna ang kanyang sarili sa batikos tungkol sa kanyang speech sa katatapos na MTV Awards kahapon.
Pinupuna ang singer dahil sa halip na tribute sa namayapang singer na si Aretha Franklin ang kanyang gawin, mas ibinida nito ang kanyang career.
Pero ayon kay Madonna, sinabihan siya na magkwento patungkol kay Franklin dalawang minuto bago siya humarap sa camera.
Iginiit ng singer na imposibleng mabigyan niya ng “justice” ang anumang tribute sa ganito ka-ikling panahon.
“I was asked to present video of the year by MTV! And then they asked me to share any anecdotes I had in my career connected to Aretha Franklin! I did not intend to do a tribute to her! That would be impossible in 2 minutes with all the noise and tinsel of an award show. I could never do her justice in this context or environment.” ayon sa post ni Madonna sa Instagram.
