Nagbabala ang Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) na positibo sa red tide toxin ang baybaying dagat sa Matarinao Bay sa Eastern Samar.
Ayon sa BFAR, positibo rin sa red tide ang Hinatuan at Lianga Bay sa Surigao del Sur; Dauis at Tagbiliran City sa Bohol; Puerto Princesa at Honda Bay, Puerto Princesa sa Palawan.
Dahil dito, ipinagbabawal ng BFAR ang pagkain ng shellfish o alamang.
Maaari namang kainin ang isda, pusit, hipon, at alimango basta’t siguraduhin na hinagusan at nilutong mabuti.
Kinakailangan na tanggalin din ang hasang at lamang loob para masigurong ligtas.
