Narco-cop, patay sa drug buy-bust operation sa Infanta, Quezon
Patay ang isang sinasabing “narco-cop” sa buy-bust operation sa Infanta, Quezon, Huwebes ng umaga (August 9).
Sa inisyal na impormasyon, ang operasyon ay pinangunahan ng Philippine National Police o PNP Counter Intelligence Task Force o CITF sa Barangay Pilaway, Infanta dakong 7:45 ng umaga.
Kinilala ang pulis na si PO2 Ian Rey Abitona, na kasama ang pangalan sa drug watch-list.
Batay kay CITF head Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., nakipagpalitan ng putok ng baril si Abitona sa mga pulis.
Sa imbestigasyon aniya ng pulisya, si Abitona ay aktibong pulis pero protektor at dealer ng ilegal na droga sa Infanta, Quezon.
Sinabi ni Caramat na nauna nang na-relieve si Abitona bilang intel and drug enforcement unit operative at nailipat bilang desk officer.
Ngunit nagpatuloy umano ang pagkakasangkot ni Abitona sa illegal drug trade.
