Bagong Ombudsman Samuel Martires nanumpa na sa pwesto

Nanumpa na sa pwesto si bagong Ombudsman Samuel Martires.

Si Martires na dating associate justice ng Korte Suprema ay nanumpa kay Supreme Court Acting Chief Justice Antonio Carpio.

Naganap ang panunumpa sa session hall ng Korte Suprema.

Kasama naman ni Martires sa kaniyang panunumpa ang maybahay na si Cecilia Martires.

Magugunitang si Martires ang hinirang ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte bilang bagong Ombudsman kapalit ng nagretiro na si Conchita Carpio-Morales.
