TRAIN 2 approved in principle sa House Ways and Means Committee
Kinumpirma ni Deputy Speaker Sharon Garin na approved in principle na sa House Ways and Means Committee ang ikalawang bahagi ng Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law.
Ayon kay Garin, si Albay Representative Joey Salceda ang nagmosyon para aprubahan in principle ang TRAIN 2 sa komite.
Kaugnay nito, nagpasya ang pinuno ng komite na si Quirino Representative Dakila Carlo Cua na bumuo ng technical working group para pagsama-samahin ang iba’t ibang bersiyon ng TRAIN 2.
Kapag nabuo na ang consolidated version, ibabalik ito sa mother committee para opisyal na aprubahan ng lupon ang pinal na bersiyon saka iaakyat sa plenaryo.
Layunin ng TRAIN 2 na ibaba ang corporate income tax at pag-rationalize ng incentives na ibinibigay sa mga kumpanya.
Ang TRAIN 2 ay isa sa priority measure ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
