Dating NHCP chairperson Carmen Nakpil pumanaw sa edad na 96
Pumanaw na sa edad na 96 si Carmen Guerrero Nakpil na dating chairperson ng National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP).
Inanunsyo ng NHCP sa kanilang official Facebook account ang pagpanaw ni Nakpil ala 1:30 ng madaling araw ng Lunes (July 30).
Ang anak ni Nakpil na si Gemma Cruz Araneta ang nagkumpirma ng pagpanaw ni Nakpil.
“Her works in Philippine history and culture, and her contributions to the development of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines, will live on and serve as a guide for succeeding generations of Filipinos,” ayon sa NHCP.
Si Nakpil ay nanilbihan bilang chairperson ng NHCP mula 1967 hanggang 1971.
