Malacañang: Duterte hindi nakikialam sa Kongreso

Hinamon ng Malacañang ang mga kongresista na lumantad na sa publiko kung mayroon sa kanila ang tinawagan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para palitan si dating Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez.

Tugon ito ng palasyo sa banat ni Senador Leila De Lima na si Pangulong Duterte ang dapat na sisihin kung kaya nakabalik sa puwesto si Pampanga Representaive Gloria Macapagal Arroyo at naluklok bilang house speaker kapalit ni Alvarez.

Sa pulong balitaan sa Zamboanga Sibugay, sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque na kailanman ay hindi nakialam ang pangulo sa usapin sa Kongreso.

Sinabi pa ni Roque na ramdam niya ang hirap na pinagdaraanan ni De Lima na nakakulong sa apat na dingding ng bilangguan sa Camp Crame.

Nanindigan pa si Roque na tanging ang mga mambabatas ang nagpasya sa pagpapalit ng kanilang speaker at walang kinalaman ang pangulo.

“Well again, I commiserate with Leila de Lima, it must be difficult staring at the four walls of her prison cell, so I will let her be. But I’d like to state that the choice of Speaker was made by the members of the House alone and I challenge any congressman to publicly say that the President called them to vote for a particular candidate, because the President did not do that”, paliwanag ng kalihim.

Ayon kay Roque, kumpiyansa ang Malacañang na magiging epektibong speaker si Arroyo.

Welcome din aniya sa palasyo ang pahayag ni Arroyo na bibigyan niya ng prayoridad sa Kamara ang charter change na pursigidong isinusulong ni Pangulong Duterte.
