Ombudsman, pinakakasuhan si Ex-Maguindanao Gov. Ampatuan dahil sa unliquidated funds

Pinsasampahan ng Office of the Ombudsman si dating Maguindanao Governor Datu Sajid Islam Ampatuan sa Sandiganbayan ng kasong graft and corruption dahil sa umanoy unliquidated funds na aabot sa P500M.

Sa pahayag Ombudsman, sa ilalim ng termino ni Ampatuan, ang lalawigan ay pumasok sa mga Memoranda of Agreement sa Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) noong June 2009 para sa paggawa ng mga farm-to-market road projects.

Ngunit hindi maayos na maayos na-liquidate ang nasabing pondo sa kabila ng mga paulit-ulit na demand ng DAR.

Base rin sa findings ng Commission on Audit (COA) ay nasa hindi magandang kalagayan ang mga nasbaing mga kalsada at mas maiksi kung ikukumpara sa iniulat na haba ng mga ito.

Kasama ni Ampatuan na pinasasampahan si Provincial Treasurer Osmeña Bandila dahil sa paglabag sa Republic Act 3019 o the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.

Inaakusahan din ang mga ito ng paglabag sa Article 217 of Malversation of Public Funds at Article 218 of Failure of Accountable Officer to Render Account of the Revised Penal Code.

Habang sasampahan din sina Provincial Accountant John Estelito Dollosa at State Auditor Danny Calib dahil sa umanoy pagpapalabas na naipatupad ang mga nasabing proyekto sa pammaagitan ng paglalabas ng certificate na nagsasaad na ang halaga ng proeyekto ay nai-disburse ng lalawigan.
