Malacañang: Pondo ng gobyerno hindi apektado ng Pederalismo
Pinakakalama ng Malacañang ang publiko at tiniyak na walang negatibong epekto sa ekonomiya ang isinusulong na pagbabago ng kasalukuyang porma ng gobyerno patungo sa Pederalismo.
Taliwas ito sa pahayag ni Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Ernesto Pernia na masama ang epekto sa ekonomiya ng pagbabago ng sistema ng pamahalaan.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque, sa ilalim ng sistemang Pederalismo ay mananatili pa rin sa parehong halaga ang national budget.
Paliwanag pa ni Roque na ang budget na nakalaan para sa natukoy na national projects ay ililipat lamang sa Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) ng local government units.
Kabilang sa mga proyektong ito ay ang maintenance ng mga kalsada at tulay sa mga barangay, serbisyo sa suplay ng tubig, barangay health centers at daycare centers, solid waste disposal system ng mga munisipalidad at iba pa.
Ayon kay Roque, ang magiging pangunahing papel ng national government ay ipagpatuloy lamang ang pagpapatupad ng Build, Build, Build projects gayundin ang pagtutok na lamang sa policymaking.
Dagdag pa ng opisyal, “We have already discussed and clarified the matter with National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Director-General and Secretary Ernesto Pernia. The shift to federalism, we reiterate, would have no adverse effect on the Philippine economy”.
