Inatasan na ni Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra si National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) director Dante Gierran na magsagawa ng imbestigasyon sa magkakasunod na pagpatay kina Tanauan mayor Antonio Halili, General Tinio, Nueva Ecija mayor Ferdinand Bote at Trece Martires vice mayor Alexander Lubigan.
Ayon kay Guevarra, ito ay para alamin kung may kaugnayan ang tatlong sunod na kaso ng pagpatay sa mga lokal na opisyal.
Sinabi pa ni Guevarra na kinakailangan niya ng agarang resulta ng imbestigasyon ng NBI.
Sabado, July 7 nang tambangan ng mga suspek si Lubigan habang nasa isang Korean Hospital sa Trece Martires.
