Ayon sa Phivolcs, naitala ang episentro ng lindol sa layong 76 kilometro Kanluran ng bayan ng Sabtang.
May lalim itong 36 na kilometro at tectonic ang dahilan.
Hindi naman inaasahan ang pinsala sa mga ari-arian at aftershocks.
