P1 dagdag-pasahe sa jeep, dapat mahinto sa katapusan ng taon – Gatchalian
Nais ni Senador Sherwin Gatchalian na mahinto ang pagpapatupad ng pisong dagdag-singil sa pasahe sa jeep sa katapusan ng taon.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni Gatchalian na ito ay para mabalanse ang interes ng mga public utility vehicle (PUV) driver at commuter.
Iminungkahi ng senador sa Land Transporation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) na magdagdag ng provision sa inaprubahang dagdag-pasahe.
Maaari naman aniyang maging opsyon na mapalawig ang dagdag-pasahe nang tatlo hanggang anim na buwan kung mananatiling mataas ang presyo ng mga produktong petrolyo.
Maliban dito, hinikayat din ni Gatchalian ang Department of Finance (DOF) at Department of Transportation (DOTr) na suriin ang Pantawid Pasada Program at alamin kung makakatulong ang P5,000 fuel subsidy sa jeepney drivers at paiba-ibang presyo ng petrolyo.
