70 OFWs stranded pa rin sa Jeddah matapos malugi ang pinagtatrabahuhang kumpanya

Mayroon pang 70 mga Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) ang nananatiling stranded sa Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Kamakailan, binisita ng team mula sa Philippine Consulate General sa Jeddah sa pamumuno nina Consul Rodney Jonas L. Sumague at Welfare Officer James Mendiola ang kampo sa isang Saudi contracting company kung saan pansamantalang namamalagi ang mgaOFWs.

Hihinintay na lamang nila ang full settlement para sa hindi pa nila nababayarang sweldo at iba pang benepsiyo, exit visa at plante ticket mula sa kumpanya.

Dinalhan sila ng makakain ng mga tauhan ng konsulada.

Ayon kay Mendiola, ipinaliwanag din nila sa mga OFW ang financial assistance program ng Overseas Workers and Welfare Administration (OWWA) na maari nilang makuha at kanilang pamilya.

Ang pinagtatrabahuhang kumpanya ng mga Pinoy ay nagsara makaraang malugi dahilan para maapektuhan ang nasa 600 na OFWs.
