P139B modernization program para sa Air Force, nasa pipeline na ayon sa pangulo

Ibinida ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na aabot sa P139 bilyon ang nasa pipeline na para sa modernization program ng Philippine Air Force.

Sa talumpati ng pangulo sa 71st founding anniversary of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) sa Multi-Purpose Gymnasium sa Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base (CJVAB), Pasay City, sinabi nito na 16 na proyekto ang nakapila.

Kasabay nito, ibinida rin ng pangulo na nakumpleto na ng pamahalaan ang acquisition o pagbili ng air defense surveillance radars, utility aircraft, at unmanned aerial vehicles na aayuda sa kasalukuyang air assets ng pamahalaan.

Ayon sa pangulo, may darating pang bagong kagamitan sa mga susunod na taon.

Kasabay nito, hinimok ng pangulo ang mga tauhan ng PAF na patuloy na makipagtulungan sa pamahalaan para malabanan ang terorismo, territorial defense, counter terrorism and internal security, international defense, at iba pa.

“Just this year, we have completed the acquisition of air defense surveillance radars, utility aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles to complement our existing air assets. We are also expecting the delivery of additional equipment and machinery in the following years. In order to further develop a modern, adequately equipped, modern security force, the government is currently working on the implementation of the second horizon of the revised AFP modernization program by 2022, with 16 projects for the PAF worth over P139 billion already in the pipeline,” ani Pangulong Duterte.
