139 human smuggling victims nailigtas sa Bataan

Nailigtas ng mga tauhan ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) at ilang ahente ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ang 139 katao na hinihinalang biktima ng human smuggling sa puerto ng Orion Bataan.

Batay sa inisyal na ulat sakay na ng barkong MV Forever Lucky ang mga biktima at dadalhin dapat sa Micronesia nang sila ay mailigtas ala-1 ng madaling araw Martes (July 3).

Ang barko ay pag-aari ng Fahrenheit Company Ltd.,na nakabase sa SBMA.

Hawak na rin ng Coast Guard ang 41 tripulante ng barko at iniimbestigahan base sa ipinakitang mga pekeng Special Permit to Navigate.

Nadiskubre na ang naturang pampasaherong barko ay wala din Certificate of Public Convenience mula sa MARINA para mag-operate bilang pampasaherong barko.

Isinagawa ang operasyon base sa impormasyon mula sa National Coast Watch Center na nasa ilalim ng Office of the President.
