47 mula sa 68 flood control projects ng MMDA, hindi pa nagagawa – COA

Apatnapu’t pito (47) mula sa animnapu’t walo (68) na proyekto ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority o MMDA ang hindi pa nagagawa, ayon sa Commission on Audit o COA.

Batay sa 2017 report ng ahensya, para sa flood control sa Kalahakhang Maynila ang mga proyekto na nagkakahalaga ng mahigit P337 million.

Pero dahil papalit-palit ang management ng MMDA at late ang scheduling ng procurement activities, mayorya sa mga proyekto o 47 programmed flood control projects ang hindi pa nakukumpleto.

Binaggit din ng COA na walang chairman ang MMDA mula April 2016 hanggang May 2017.

Mula April hanggang August 2016, ang MMDA ay pinamunuan ni Officer-in-Charge Emerson Carlos habang noong August 2016 hanggang May 2017, ang O-I-C ay si Thomas Orbos.

Noong May 2017, itinalaga ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Danilo Lim upang maging chairman ng MMDA.

Ang mga proyektong naapektuhan ay nasa Malabon, Navotas, Muntinlupa, Taguig, Mandaluyong Marikina City, Pasig City, Caloocan City, Quezon City, at Makati City.

Inirekumenda naman ng COA sa MMDA na bilisan na ang pagkumpleto sa flood control projects.
