4 na pelikulang pasok sa “Official 8” ng MMFF 2018, inanunsyo na
Isinapubliko na ng Selection Committee ng Metro Manila Film Festival ang unang apat na pelikulang pasok sa Official 8 entries sa MMFF 2018.
Ang “first four” ay ang mga pelikulang:
1. “Aurora” ng Viva Films, na pinagbibidahan ni Anne Curtis
2. “Fantastica: The Princes, the Prince and the Perya” ng ABS-CBN Productions Inc. at Viva Films, tampok sina Vice Ganda, Maris Racal, Loisa Andalio at Maymay Entrata
3. “Girl in the Orange Dress” ng Quantum Films at MJM Productions, starring Kim Chui, Jessy Mendiola, Jericho Rosales, Sam Milby at iba pa
4. “Popo En Jack: The Puliscredibles”ng CCM Film Productions, MZET Productions at APT Entertainment, na kauna-unahang proyekto nina Vic Sotto at Coco Martin
Ang Selection Committee ay pinamumunuan ni National Artist Bienvenido Lumbera.
Mula sa 24 scripts, napili ang apat na pelikula base sa mga sumusunod na criteria: Artistic Excellence (40%), Commercial Appeal (40%), Filipino Cultural Sensibility (10%) at Global Appeal (10%).
Ayon sa MMFF, ang apat na pelikula na kukumpleto sa Official 8 ay pipiliin mula sa mga natapos nang pelikula na ang deadline ay sa September 21.
