Nanumpa si Casquejo kay COMELEC Chairman Sheriff Abas.
Sumaksi sa panunumpa sina Commissioner Rowena Guanzon, Luie Tito Guia, at iba pang senior officials ng komisyon.
Matatandaang pinirmahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang appointment papers ni Casquejo, noong June 18 para pumalit kay Christian Robert Lim na nagretiro noong February 2018.
Bago naging commissioner, naglingkod si Casquejo bilang assistant regional election director ng COMELEC-Davao.
