BSP Gov. Espenilla highest-paid government official
Si Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Nestor Espenilla ang “highest-paid” na national government agency official noong 2017.
Ito ang lumabas sa report ng Commission on Audit o COA.
Noong nakalipas na taon, umabot sa P14,920.912.77 ang kabuuang sweldo at allowances na natanggap ni Espenilla.
Pumangalawa naman si BSP Deputy Governor Diwa Guinigundo na may P13,502,196.88; at pangatlo si Cecillia Borromeo ng Development Bank of the Philippines na may P12,462,714.83.
Pang-apat si Solicitor General Jose Calida na mayroong P10,917,156.49.
Dahil dito, siya ang kauna-unahang SolGen na nakapasok sa Top 10, mula noong 2009.
