Kinumpirma ng Department of Health (DOH) na 87 sa halos 900,000 na naturukan ng Dengvaxia ang namatay pero ito ay dahil sa dengue at ibang sakit.
Sa hearing ng House Committee on Appropriations sa P1.16 bilyong supplemental budget ng DOH ay sinabi ni Health Undersecretary Rolando Enrique Domingo na hanggang noong nakaraang linggo ay naitala nila ang 87 mortalitiy cases ng Dengvaxia.
Nakumpirma aniya sa laboratory tests na dengue ang dahilan ng pagkasawi ng 11 sa 87 namatay.
Pero nilinaw ni Domingo na ang mga namatay ay dahil sa dengue o iba pang sakit at hindi direktang dahil sa Dengvaxia.
Sa kabila aniya ng 11 dengue-related deaths, hindi pa madeklara ng DOH sa ngayon na palpak ang Dengvaxia.
