Pagbibitiw ni Cesar Montano sa TPB, tinanggap ni Pangulong Duterte
Tinanggap na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang isinumiteng resignation letter ni Cesar Montano upang magbitiw bilang chief operating officer ng Tourism Promotions Board (TPB).
Ito ang kinumpirma ni Special Assistant to the President Christopher Bong Go sa pamamagitan ng text message Lunes ng gabi.
Nakasaad sa resignation letter ni Montano na epektibo kaagad ang kanyang pagbibitiw sa posisyon.
Nauna rito ay tinanggap na rin ni Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Bernadetter Romulo-Puyat ang courtesy resignation ni Montano.
Ito ay kasunod ng kontrobersiyang kinkaharap ni Montano dahil sa P80 milyong bayad para sa “Buhay Carinderia” project ng TPB.
Ayon kay Puyat, magpapatuloy ang pagsisiyasat sa naturang proyekto bagaman wala na sa TPB si Montano.
